Today is my baby girl’s ten month birth date and today’s painting is in celebration of that. Last March, the family went to Florida so baby girl’s grandparents could see her. It was her first plane ride and she did so well. We met Grandpa at the airport and he drove us to their villa by the beach. I’d wondered what baby’s reaction to the beach would be, at seven months, and it was ‘meh.’ I still had fun, though. She’ll like it much better when she gets older and can run around and have fun.
After breakfast at this really neat place in Indian Harbor, by the grandparent’s, called “Sun on the Beach,” we took a walk along the shore and I picked out shells, with my girl in mind. I picked up the pinkest ones I could find. Most were Calico Scallops and I found two Cat’s Eye seashells. They are a sweet little memento from our first trip as a family.
